Consumers:   Here are some important "floral facts":

DID YOU KNOW...............

Did you know that when you order a $70 floral arrangement through one of those big on-line Internet sites or national florist services that usually only $45 (or less) actually goes into the arrangement? The rest goes to middleman profits and commissions!  Remember, the person receiving the flowers will rarely tell you if the arrangement was of poor quality, so you'll never really know.  Think about that!

Did you know that those tele-marketing floral services only take orders and never actually touch a flower?   They merely phone or wire your order to a real florist shop in the area where they are to be delivered.  You could have easily done the same thing without them and saved $25 or more --- or have gotten a real $70 arrangement instead of that $45 arrangement of dying dandelions you ended up with!

Did you know that when you use one of those big national flower companies, you run a much greater risk of something going wrong with your order?  With a middleman involved, orders can get fouled up, delayed or even lost!   Do you want to take that chance?  Remember, flowers are usually sent to our closest loved-ones and friends and for very important occasions.  A botched order is, at best, embarrassing and may even be hurtful.  Don't take the chance.

Did you know that you can talk directly to any florist in the nation by just looking the number up in our directory? And many shops have toll-free 800 numbers so it costs you no more to call a real florist than it does to call one of those tele-marketing companies.  So why would you ever want to give someone $25 just to take your order and pass it along to someone else?

Remember, when you call one of the florists listed in our directory, you get to talk to a real florist, not a tele-marketer.  You can ask those important questions.  You can confirm delivery dates and times.  You can go over every detail until your comfortable with your order.  You can even call back to confirm delivery or to make a change (try doing that with a tele-marketer).

Have you had one of those horror stories with your floral order?  If so, we'd like to hear from you.  Also, if you have any comments about our directory, let us know.  Click here to e-mail us your comments or stories.
